International Arts Education Week Workshop
At the 7th annual 2018 International Arts Education Week Event under the theme of “The Fourth Industrial Revolution, Rediscovery of Culture and Art Education,” Rebel9 hosted a workshop on culture and arts education with History&Art Lab. Through the children’s experience program titled “Let’s Go, Time Travel with Cultural Heritage,” the museum prepared time to explore cultural heritage in immersive projection space and to create their own cultural heritage.
The first theme of time travel, the The Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekje. Participants can listen to the story of the excavation of the The Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekje, and take a closer look at the hidden paintings on the incense burner. After listening to the story of the gilt-bronze direction, they can create a gilt-bronze boulevard by directly coloring the five musicians and various animals on the incense burner. Through the experience of painting by hand and then making it becoming part of the incense burner, the workshop teaches about mutual cooperation and exploring the side of a new history education where artifacts of digital form can be utilized and explored through the use of interactive media experiences. What are the stories hidden within it? The workshop examines every corner of this cultural heritage that is easy to miss.
ELEPHANTSPACE where this hands-on training took place at is an immersive projection space.
