YDP CULTURAL LOUNGE DADADA

Rebel9 was responsible for the space planning and design, content creation and design, and branding design of YDP CULTURAL LOUNGE DADADA, a space where citizens can share cultural news and relax with each other in the Yeongdeungpo area. The identity design, which visualizes a waveform, represents the sound that conveys cultural information. By translating the auditory experience into a graphic format, we create an identity that promotes cultural exchange and community engagement.

YDP CULTURAL LOUNGE DADADA is an interactive public space for artists and residents, featuring a modular structure utilizing nine shipping containers. The interior of the approximately 160-square-meter space reflects an organic design philosophy inspired by the waterfront environment. The space is organized around three key concepts: ‘Ball’, ‘Trace’, and ‘Spin’, which symbolize interaction, movement, and digital experiences, respectively.

The building’s exterior is finished with a metallic façade that blends in with its surroundings and reflects the changing cityscape over time. This approach positions YDP CULTURAL LOUNGE DADADA as a center for participatory urban culture.

The interactive welcome media is the first thing visitors see as they pass through the main entrance, and is the photo zone of YDP CULTURAL LOUNGE DADADA. Floating on a green tile carpet with nature motifs, the interactive welcome media introduces the lounge and draws attention with silhouetted pixel graphics that react to visitors’ entrance using motion sensors.

인터랙티브 웰컴 미디어

The DADADA space uses rounded furniture and light blue tones to create the ambiance of a waterfront space.

The space’s participatory artwork media invites citizens to take an active role in creating and shaping public artworks. Interactive touch panels and digital tools allow participants to design and contribute to collaborative art projects that reflect the local culture and environment. This participatory approach fosters a sense of community and collective creativity.
